WWE Stars AJ Styles and Omos Invade AAA’s Biggest Show, TripleMania XXXIII

AJ Styles and the 7-foot-3 Omos won the WWE Raw tag team title four years ago at WrestleMania 37.

Last night, they both appeared in Mexico City at TripleMania XXXIII.

This is the biggest show of the year for Mexico’s No. 2 promotion, which WWE purchased earlier this year.

Omos won the opening Copa Bardahl match, which was a Royal Rumble match with pinfalls and over-the-top eliminations.

This bout included WWE wrestlers like Otis, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro, as well as AAA competitors like Abismo Negro Jr., Cibernetico, and the new version of La Parka.

Microman, who stands 3-foot-3, squared off against Omos. With a four-foot height advantage, Omos picked up Microman by his head and eventually tossed him.

Omos secured the victory by throwing La Parka and Octagon Jr. out of the ring.

STYLES GETS REVENGE

AJ Styles made his presence felt in the main event, paying back Dominik Mysterio for his loaded headbutt on Monday Night Raw

El Hijo del Vikingo defended the AAA Mega Championship in a four-way match against El (Extra) Grande Americano, Dirty Dom, and Dragon Lee.

Before we discuss the match, let’s give Americano some credit. After an injury to Chad Gable, Ludwig Kaiser is now under the mask.

Even though Kaiser is from Germany, he cut a great promo on his opponents in Spanish. He also sang “Cielito Lindo” on the way to the ring! (“Ai, yai, yai, yai …)”

Misterio put on his dad’s mask and delivered loaded headbutts to Dragon Lee and Americano. AJ broke up Dirty Dom’s pin and hit the Styles Clash.

This allowed Vikingo to hit a 630 splash from the top rope to retain the championship.

THREE TITLE BOUTS

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. won the AAA Latin American title from El Mesias.

Psycho Clown & Pagano defeated Los Garza (Angel & Berto) in a street fight to win the AAA tag team championship.

Flammer hung onto the AAA Reina de Reinas (Queen of Queens) title with a victory over Natalya and Faby Apache.

Rey Misterio Jr. inducted Konnan into the AAA Hall of Fame.

WHO WANTS HAMBURGERS?

The Judgment Day trio of Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Raquel Rodriguez beat Mr. Iguana, Lola Vice & Nino Hamburguesa (Hamburger Boy).

Nino brought hamburgers into the ring, and the match also featured a puppet showdown between La Yeska (an iguana) and Balor’s alter ego, Demonito.

If you want to watch the show, you can find it on YouTube with English or Spanish commentary.
