WWE Smackdown: Becky Lynch Ruins Her Own Homecoming in Dublin

Becky Lynch received a huge welcome from her fans in Dublin, Ireland, last night on Smackdown, but she couldn’t let it ride.

The WWE women’s Intercontinental champion insulted her hometown fans and said she had tried to get the show cancelled.

Tiffany Stratton came out and reminded Lynch that she’s not on the Smackdown roster. Nia Jax came out and attacked Stratton, with Lynch joining in for a 2-on-1 beatdown.

Jade Cargill came to the rescue to set up the main event.

Cargill & Stratton defeated Jax & Lynch. Tiffy hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Jax, and Cargill followed with a top-rope splash.

LOGAN PAUL VS. JOHN CENA

John Cena appeared in Dublin for the last time, but Logan Paul interrupted before he could start talking.

Paul called Cena “an actor who knows how to wrestle.” Cena noted that Paul has wrestled 23 matches, while Cena has wrestled for 23 years.

Cena finished the confrontation by hitting the Attitude Adjustment, but Paul came back at the end of the show to give Cena a sucker punch. They will wrestle at Clash in Paris on Aug. 31.

TAG TEAM ACTION

Carmelo Hayes & The Miz (“Melo Don’t Miz”) scored their second straight win, this time beating Motor City Machine Guns. Again, Miz tagged himself in to steal the glory from Hayes.

The Street Profits beat JC Mateo & Tanga Loa when Montez Ford hit the frog splash on Mateo.

Next week, The Street Profits will face Melo Don’t Miz for a shot The Wyatt Sicks’ WWE tag team title.

R-Truth was supposed to wrestle Alistair Black, but he accidentally traveled to Dublin, Georgia. Damien Priest showed up instead and brawled with Black.

Drew McIntyre talked about his recent attack on WWE champion Cody Rhodes. Randy Orton popped up out of nowhere and hit the RKO on McIntyre.

DOWN GOES THE QUEEN

Piper Niven upset Charlotte Flair after hitting a Michinoku Driver. Niven & Alba Fyre will challenge Flair & Alexa Bliss on next week’s Smackdown.

Also on next week’s show, Solo Sikoa will defend the US title against Sami Zayn.
