WWE Raw: Seth Rollins and Friends Dominate the Show
Seth Rollins isn’t the World champion yet, but his faction is already dominating Monday Night Raw.
“Mr. Money in the Bank” started the show last night in Providence, R.I., with his “Wiseman,” Paul Heyman, and his henchmen, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Breakker defeated Sami Zayn after a series of spears. Zayn’s ribs were already injured after a pre-match attack by Karrion Kross.
Reed got disqualified in his match with Jey Uso, but Reed hit a pair of Tsunami splashes off the top rope after the match.
Rollins defeated Penta in the main event with a low headbutt and a Curbstomp. LA Knight attacked Rollins after the bout to preview their match on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WOMEN’S ACTION
Kairi Sane defeated Roxanne Perez in the opening match. Raquel Rodriguez attacked Sane after the match, with Asuka making the save.
Later in the night, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce added Sane & Asuka (The Kabuki Warriors) to the four-way match at Evolution 2 on Sunday.
Rodriguez & Perez will defend the WWE women’s tag team title against the Warriors, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and Sol Ruca & Zaria.
Becky Lynch came to the ring with the women’s Intercontinental title, only to be interrupted by her challengers at Evolution 2. Lyra Valkyria won the brawl with Lynch and Bayley.
GROWTH SPURT
Chad Gable is out with an injury, but the masked El Grande Americano is still here. In fact, he grew seven inches.
“El Venti Americano” had the same success in the ring as his smaller self, beating Dragon Lee with a loaded headbutt.
Goldberg showed up when World champion Gunther talked trash about him. They will meet in Goldberg’s final bout on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
