Paul Heyman had a brilliant plan on Monday Night Raw in Omaha, Neb.

Heyman goaded Jey Uso into putting the World title on the line against Seth Rollins.

With Bron Breakker helping from the outside, Rollins had a chance of winning the belt in Uso’s first title defense.

However, Sami Zayn showed up to attack Breakker. Then CM Punk appeared and walloped Rollins with a chair, causing the referee to throw the match out.

Paul Heyman might need to recruit more soldiers for his team, because Rollins and Breakker are now opposed by Punk, Uso, Zayn, and Roman Reigns.

CAN’T STOP PENTA

Penta defeated JD McDonagh of Judgment Day, and he was rewarded with an Intercontinental title match against Dominik Mysterio this Saturday at Backlash.

Somehow, Penta overcame interference from Finn Balor, Carlito and Chad Gable to defeat McDonagh with the Canadian Destroyer.

WELCOME BACK

Sheamus returned to the WWE and defeated Austin Theory with the Brogue Kick. We’ll see if Sheamus continues his quest for the IC title, which he has never held.

Everyone seems to want that belt, as AJ Styles said he’s coming for it after the Penta-Dominik match. Finn Balor will battle Styles next week on Raw.

SHE NEEDS BACKUP

World women’s champion Iyo Sky defeated Roxanne Perez. After the match, Giulia joined Perez in beating up the champ.

Nobody helped Sky, but Rhea Ripley will team up with her next week to face Giulia & Perez.

Rusev defeated Otis of Alpha Academy with the Accolade, which used to be called “The Camel Clutch” by The Iron Sheik. Rusev beat up Otis’s teammate Akira Tozawa after the match.

Announcer Pat McAfee had a face-to-face confrontation with Gunther before their Backlash match. McAfee said Gunther was “soft” and scolded him for attacking 56-year-old announcer Michael Cole.
