WWE NXT: Mariah May, Olympic Gold Medalist Debut
Several new faces appeared last night on WWE NXT, including former AEW women’s champion Mariah May.
Earlier this year, May lost her title back to “Timeless” Toni Storm in one of the greatest matches in women’s wrestling history.
“The Glamour” always wanted to be a WWE superstar, and her dream came true last night.
Several challengers were in the ring, identifying new NXT women’s champion Jacy Jayne as a beatable opponent.
The lights went out, and a spotlight shone on May, who could be getting a new name like Ricky Starks/Saints.
Tyra Mae Steele also debuted, defeating Arianna Grace with a German suplex. Steele won an Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo Games in 2021.
IT’S TRICKY
Trick Williams retained his TNA championship with a win over Mike Santana. KC Navarro and AJ “Top Dolla” Francis helped Trick and stood tall with him at the end of the show.
Williams will defend the title against Elijah on Friday at TNA’s Against All Odds event. Elijah used to wrestle (and play the guitar) as Elias in WWE.
Myles Borne defeated Charlie Dempsey two falls to one in a Heritage Cup rules match. As a result, Borne is allowed to leave No Quarter Catch Crew.
MULTI-MAN MADNESS
The DarkState trio of Dion Lennox, Cutler James & Osiris Griffin destroyed Andre Chase and his Chase U students, Uriah Connors & Kale Dixon.
Dragon Lee, Sean Legacy, Je’Von Evans & Laredo Kid defeated “All Ego” Ethan Page and The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes & Jackson Drake).
I told you a lot of new names are showing up! Page will defend the North American title against Evans, Laredo, and Dragon Lee on Saturday afternoon at the Worlds Collide show on YouTube.
