Joe Hendry kicked off last night’s NXT episode with a victory over Wes Lee with the Standing Ovation chokeslam.

Hendry will challenge Trick Williams for the TNA championship at the Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 20. Mike Santana, another TNA wrestler, will make it a Triple Threat match.

Next week on NXT, Hendry & Santana will team up against Hugh Ryze (Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont).

Also, the TNA Slammiversary contract signing will take place at the WWE Great American Bash on July 12. How strange is that?

WHO’S STILL IN THE MOB?

Luca Crusifino tried to prove his loyalty to “The Don” Tony D’Angelo. When Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo got involved, Crusifino punched D’Angelo in the face.

Stacks celebrated, but then Crusifino punched him as well! Luca will go his own way. Will he sleep with the fishes?

Myles Borne, no longer a member of No Quarter Catch Crew, defeated Lexis King.

Charlie Dempsey will face Tavion Heights, and Heights can leave the Crew if he wins. What contracts did these guys sign to be stuck in this faction?

Lainey Reid used the ropes for leverage to defeat Thea Hail.

Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley defeated Sol Ruca & Zaria. Dame pinned Ruca, so she will get a shot at the women’s North American title held by Ruca at the Great American Bash.

NXT General Manager Ava set up a challenge for Ricky Saints. If he can beat all three members of The Vanity Project, Saints can choose a stipulation for his upcoming match with North American champion “All Ego” Ethan Page.

In the main event, Yoshiki Inamura defeated Jasper Troy to earn at shot at NXT champion Oba Femi at the Bash.

Inamura delivered two bodyslams and a top-rope splash to score the victory.

Blake Monroe will have her first televised WWE match at the Bash. She will team with Jordynne Grace against the Fatal Influence duo of Fallon Henley & Jasmyn Nyx.
