Jacy Jayne surprised wrestling fans by winning the NXT women’s title from Stephanie Vaquer and the TNA Knockouts belt from Masha Slamovich.

However, she is learning that holding both titles is not so easy.

On last night’s NXT episode, Kelani Jordan & Lola Vice defeated Fallon Henley & Jayne. Since Jordan pinned Jayne, she’s in line for a shot at Jayne’s NXT women’s title.

Jayne also learned that she will defend the TNA Knockouts title at NXT Heatwave on Aug. 25 against TNA wrestlers Slamovich and Ash by Elegance.

Ash competed in the WWE for a decade as Dana Brooke.

Next week in Philadelphia, Jayne’s Fatal Influence team will face The Elegance Brand in a six-woman match.

POWER MATCHUP

Nia Jax continued her successful return to NXT, defeating Lash Legend in the opening match. Jax won the with the Annihilator (Bonzai Drop).

Joe Hendry defeated Charlie Dempsey with the Standing Ovation chokeslam. Dempsey’s Heritage Cup was not on the line.

Josh Briggs challenged his former partner, Yoshiki Inamura, to a Philadelphia Street Fight on next week’s show.

Jordynne Grace talked about the body-image issues that Blake Monroe brought up on last week’s show. Grace will battle Monroe at Heatwave, and they will have a face-off meeting next week in Philly.

Alba Fyre defeated Kendal Gray with a Gory Bomb. After the match, Tyra Mae Steele showed up and dished out suplexes to Fyre, Piper Niven, and “All Ego” Ethan Page.

Like Kurt Angle, Steele is a former Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling. She is pictured on the right.

EIGHT-MAN BATTLE

Dark State won the main event over Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Moose & Oba Femi. They hit the Shield tandem powerbomb on Evans.

Trick will face Evans next week, with the winner challenging Femi for the NXT title at Heatwave. Trick also has an upcoming TNA title defense against Moose.
