WrestleMania XI Flashback: Football Players Invade the Ring Again (1995)
Lawrence Taylor was a Hall of Famer in football, and he also defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in the main event of WrestleMania XI.
Taylor was at ringside for Royal Rumble 95, and he laughed at Bigelow for being on the losing end of a tag team title match.
Bigelow angrily shoved LT to the ground, leading to a war of words and the eventual signing of the Mania match.
Bigelow was backed up by Ted DiBiase and his Corporation members (Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, Kama, Irwin R. Shyster, and Nikolai Volkoff).
Taylor countered by recruiting his football buddies to appear in his corner. This group included Steve McMichael, Chris Spielman, Reggie White, Carl Banks, Rickey Jackson, and Ken Norton Jr.
Later in the 1990s, McMichael and White would step into the ring in World Championship Wrestling.
Taylor looked impressive and won the match with a forearm smash off the second rope.

GUESS WHO’S BACK?
The Smoking Gunns defended the WWF tag team title against Owen Hart and a mystery partner. It turned out to be Yokozuna!
Owen & Yoko captured the championship. The fans were amazed at everything the 500-pound Yoko did, even though he had headlined the last two WrestleManias.
