Top Wide Receivers in the Big Ten Heading into the 2025 College Football Season
The Big Ten has some of the top talent in the nation across the board and that includes wide receivers.
The conference has produced an abundance of talent at the WR position over the years. In 2025, there will be a lot more talent taking the field ready to dominate on the outside.
As we prepare for the 2025 season, we will be taking a look at some of the best players at skill positions around the nation.
Below, check out the top wide receivers in the Big Ten for the 2025 season.
8. Dane Key, Nebraska
If Nebraska airs the ball out with second-year quarterback Dylan Raiola, Key will be in line for another big season. He was a huge get for the Huskers out of Kentucky this offseason. Key has the chance to reach 1,000 receiving yards as the No. 1 in Lincoln.
7. Nick Marsh, Michigan State
As a freshman, Marsh burst not the scene building a strong connection with Aidan Chiles. He is now established within the offense and has the makings of a top-flight wide receiver in the Big Ten.
6. Evan Stewart, Oregon
Stewart shined within the explosive Oregon offense in his first season with the Ducks. He finished with 613 yards and five touchdowns. Now, he will be the top weapon for Dan Lanning and have high expectations once again.
5. Makai Lemon, USC
Lemon was a breakout wide receiver for USC last season. He hauled in 52 catches for 764 yards and those numbers could take another step up this season. Now, he is proven and knows how to act as the team’s top weapon.
4. Denzel Boston, Washington
Boston is now the top receiver n Washington with Giles Jackson gone. He finished with 834 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. Boston is the complete package on the outside and will take on an even bigger role this season.
3. Carnell Tate, Ohio State
There was plenty to go around for the Buckeyes last season. As the team’s third WR, Tate finished with over 700 yards. Now, he will be the No. 2 behind Smith and likely flirt with the 1,000-yard mark. The Buckeyes come in with the top receiving duo in the nation.
2. Elijah Sarratt, Indiana
Sarratt helped Indiana turn into one of the best teams in the nation in his first season. The James Madison transfer totaled 957 receiving yards and became the team’s top weapon. With Fernando Mendoza taking over as quarterback, Sarratt could be even better in 2025.
1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State
Smith is not only the best receiver in the conference, he is the top weapon in the nation. As a true freshman, Smith would have been one of the top picks in the NFL Draft if he was eligible. He will only improve from here with insane star potential.
