Top Pac-12 Running Backs for the 2025 College Football Season

The 2025 college football season is two months away and teams are beginning to round into form.

This includes the quarterback position, which remains the most important on the field regardless of conference. For one more year, there will be just two teams in the Pac-12 before others join but there will be plenty of talent under center.

Below, check out top quarterbacks in the Pac-12 this season.

4. Kirby Vorhees, Washington State

Vorhees is one of two South Dakota State running backs to join Washington State. The Cougars saw a major overhaul of the roster — both in and out of the transfer portal. Last year, Vorhees was part of a backfield that saw three players go over 500 yards. He finished the season with 581 yards and eight touchdowns. Vorhees averaged 7.7 yards per carry while also being used at the goal line.

3. Salahadin Allah, Oregon State

As a freshman, Allah carried the ball 55 times for 258 yards and a touchdown. The Beavers return Anthony Hankerson, who was the team’s leading rusher, but Allah will jump into the backup role. He will be used more than the 2024 season with more experience as well.

2. Angel Johnson, Washington State

John Mateer was the team’s leading rusher last season. He, along with Wayshawn Parker, are gone and in comes Johnson. The redshirt senior played four years at South Dakota State, leading one of the FCS powerhouses. He rushed for 1,000 yards combined in the last two years. Johnson has the potential to become an elite rusher in the conference.

1. Anthony Hankerson, Oregon State

Hankerson was the lead rusher for the Beavers last season with 1,082 yards and 15 touchdowns. He makes his return as the top option in the backfield once again. Oregon State gave Hankerson the ball 232 times last season. That number could take another step up this year.
