Top 5 QBs in the MAC for the 2025 College Football Season
The 2025 college football season is two months away and teams are beginning to round into form.
This includes the quarterback position, which remains the most important on the field regardless of conference.
Below, check out five quarterbacks to watch in the MAC this season.
5. Joe Labas, Central Michigan
Labas is an intriguing quarterback this season. He began at Iowa and got the chance to start the Music City Bowl in 2022. He landed at Central Michigan the next season and has turned into the starter. He suffered an injury last season after six games but is back at full strength. It will be interesting to see how he returns to action.
4. Parker Navarro, Ohio
Navarro has played in just eight games and attempted 26 passes over the two years in 2022-23. He jumped into the starting role last season and threw for 2,423 yards and 13 touchdowns. He added over 1,000 rushing yards. Navarro has a multi-faceted skill set and now has the experience needed to help Ohio repeat as MAC champions.
3. Ben Finley, Akron
Finley has bounced around at N.C. State and Cal before landing at Akron, where he got the chance to become a full-time starter. Last year, he finished with 2,604 yards and 16 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He can make all the throws and has a strong enough arm to push the ball downfield.
2. Tucker Gleason, Toledo
Gleason spent time as Toledo’s backup during his career after beginning his career at Georgia Tech. In 2024, Gleason got the chance to start and finished second in the conference with 2,808 yards and 24 touchdowns. He took care of the football well while putting up impressive numbers. Gleason has the ability to use his legs but is one of the best pure passers in the conference.
1. Dequan Finn, Miami (Ohio)
Finn is well-known in the MAC from his time at Toledo. He set program records with 7,074 passing yards and 65 touchdowns. He returns to the MAC after limited time at Baylor last season. Finn has a chance to be one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the nation because of his ability to both pass and run. He has insane speed to go with his arm talent. Finn is back in the MAC and can help Miami (Ohio) build off last season.
