Today in White Sox Baseball (April 15, 2025) — Another nearly empty evening
The White Sox dropped another game, and another that wasn’t even close. On the farm, only Kannapolis came away with a win.
A’s 12, White Sox 3 Another day, another blowout, and it matters not if the team is a world-beater or merely average. The visiting A’s took a three-run lead a few pitches in and never looked back. Andrew Vaughn homered in the so-what of the night. The Sox fall to 4-12.
Nashville Sounds 6, Charlotte Knights 3 The Knights keep struggling, falling to 6-9 with another start that was over early. Chris Rodriguez took the lumps tonight, with offensive highlights few and far between, provided by Colson Montgomery and Edgar Quero.
Biloxi Shuckers 6, Birmingham Barons 1 In a carbon copy of the Triple-A action, Wikelman González got lit into in the first, and the Barons would not recover. Birmingham was punchless, and fell to 5-4 on the season.
Greenville Drive 8, Winston-Salem Dash 3 No, this isn’t the Knights or Barons recap, yet another system starter was kicked around early, and the worst of it comes in this game, as Seth Keener was down, 5-0, by the second inning. Hard to win games you’re out of immediately. Ryan Galanie went deep for the 3-7 Dash.
Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 6, Columbia Fireflies 2 Finally a win, with Ricardo Brizuela doing his part in his second start. Braden Montgomery continues to mash right out of the gate as a pro, homering. Fellow rookie (and much younger) Caleb Bonemer tripled in two to break the game open in the third. Triples were wild in the game, Lyle Miller-Green’s triple brought home a fifth run and helped ensure the CBs climb to 6-4 on the season.
