Ring Of Honor Builds to Death Before Dishonor With Back-To-Back Shows
Death Before Dishonor is the next Ring Of Honor pay-per-view. It will take place in Philadelphia at the ECW Arena on Aug. 29.
The card is coming together, and ROH ramped up the hype with a doubleheader this week.
REGULAR SHOW ON HONOR CLUB
ROH started its weekly show on Honor Club with an eight-man tag team match.
Hechicero, The Beast Mortos, Difunto & Volador Jr. beat AR Fox, Alex Zayne, Angelico & Serpentico.
Hechicero scored the winning pin, and he will challenge Bandido for the ROH title at Death Before Dishonor.
Willie Mack defeated Gringo Loco with a frog splash. Lance Archer squashed Ren Jones in less than a minute.
Mina Shirakawa announced that since Athena broke her hand, she will beat the “Forever Champion” for the ROH women’s title at Death Before Dishonor.
If Athena can retain the belt, she will pass 1,000 days as champion. (Hey, I took that photo in Cleveland!)
Leila Grey defeated Taya Valkyrie with a dragon sleeper.
Tomohiro Ishii used a brainbuster to beat “The Main Man” Oro (formerly Oro Mensah in NXT).
Mexican wrestler Xelhua battled to a 10-minute draw with Pure champion Lee Moriarty in a Proving Ground match.
That means Xelhua will challenge Moriarty for the title at Death Before Dishonor.
BONUS SHOW ON YOUTUBE
Nick Wayne retained the ROH TV title with a victory over Willie Mack. Wayne used Christian Cage’s Killswitch move to win the match.
The Outrunners & AR Fox defeated The Infantry & Shane Taylor. Jay Lethal beat Alex Zayne with the Lethal Injection.
QT Marshall beat a guy called “The OXP” before getting into a brawl with actor Paul Walter Hauser. They will probably fight at the pay-per-view.
Billie Starkz beat Allysin Kay with a chicken-wing hold. Lee Johnson & Blake Christian defeat Tom La Ruffa & Beef.
Jon Moxley came to the ring to back up Marina Shafir, who beat Marti Belle with the Mother’s Milk submission hold.
The Workhorsemen & Adam Priest beat Joe Keys, Ryan Zukko & Josh Fuller. The winners kept attacking until The Dark Order made the save.
Hechicero gained momentum with a win over Jordan Oliver.
In the main event, Mascara Dorada & Neon beat The Premier Athletes when Dorada won the match with a 450 splash.
