It was a White Sox heartbreaker in Sacramento, while the farm took three of four that included an extra-innings slugfest for Charlotte.

The White Sox jumped all over the A’s for six early runs, and won in a rout on the West Coast. Meanwhile on the farm, a split day saw 30 hits and 26 runs in Winston-Salem.

The White Sox threw an opener at the A’s and made a strong run at their closer, but lost, again. At least the affiliates were triumphant in four of five games.

We’re not gonna be picky, a win’s a win, and maybe all White Sox games should run just seven innings. On the farm, every game was a blowout — including a no-hitter!

It was bound to happen, with a franchise like the White Sox and a system like Chicago’s: losses in every game played. Well, at least there was a Low-A rainout!

Davis Martin had a terrific start, and the Twins were a winnable game, but thanks to a terrific running catch by Byron Buxton in center, the White Sox lost again. On the farm, it was three wins in four games, including two in extras!

The good news is that the White Sox were the only team in the organization to lose today.

The White Sox fought back for a comeback win in Boston, staving off a sweep and possibly even setting up a split with a quick turnaround on Monday. Meanwhile, the farm took the collar in four close losses.
