Cavs Sweep the Heat in Dominating Win, 138-83
On Monday April 28th, 2025, at 7:30 pm eastern time, the Eastern Conference top seed Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Miami Florida to play the eighth seed Miami Heat in game four of the opening round series of the 2025 NBA Playoffs at the Kesaya Center. The Cavaliers convincingly took a 3-0 series lead with a 124-87 win at Miami last Saturday afternoon. Darius Garland did not play for the Cavaliers last Saturday; he was listed as questionable for this game. Garland did not play that night. Out for the Heat was Kevin Love and Terry Rozier. Kyle Anderson was questionable with an illness for Miami. He did play in this game. The Cavaliers were trying to complete the four-game sweep of the Miami Heat.
In the first quarter the Cavaliers asserted their dominance and led after one quarter of play 43-17. In the second quarter the Cavaliers continued to pour it on the Heat, and they led at halftime 72-33. In the third quarter the Cavaliers added to their lead and led after three quarters of play 111-63. In the fourth and final quarter the Cleveland Cavaliers completed the four-game sweep of the Miami Heat by winning game four 138-83. The Cavaliers advance to the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Donovan Mitchell with 22 points in 25 minutes. Jarrett Allen had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes of play. The Cavaliers also had 7 players with double digit scoring. Up next for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs is the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks Indiana Pacers series. Indiana currently leads the series 3-1. Considering how this Cleveland Cavaliers team is playing this postseason. I don’t think the second-round opponent will matter for this team. What will matter is this Cleveland Cavaliers team keeping up their intensity through the playoffs.
