Kenny Omega’s Enemies and Friends Square Off on AEW Collision

Kenny Omega didn’t appear on last night’s AEW Collision, but his friends and foes gathered to talk about him.

Don Callis, his former friend, welcomed Kazuchika Okada, his greatest opponent, to the Don Callis Family.

Omega and Okada will renew their classic rivalry at All In Texas on July 12. Omega’s International title and Okada’s Continental belt will be up for grabs.

When Callis said Omega had no friends left, Mark Briscoe stepped up with a rebuttal. Briscoe introduced Kota Ibushi, Omega’s best friend, who is returning to AEW after a long absence.

Ibushi also has history with Okada from their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

THE CHAMP IS HERE

AEW World champion Jon Moxley opened the show with a victory over AR Fox in a non-title match. Moxley won with a sleeper hold.

After the match, Mox said that “Hangman” Adam Page would not take his championship at All In Texas.

FTR teamed with Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat TNT champion Adam Cole, Ring Of Honor champion Bandido, Daniel Garcia, and Roderick Strong.

Swerve Strickland thrilled his fans in the Pacific Northwest with a victory over Shane Taylor. Swerve won after a House Call kick.

THE OTHER CHAMP IS HERE

“Timeless” Toni Storm talked about her match with Mercedes Mone at All In Texas. Storm said Mone would not add the AEW women’s title to her collection.

The Conglomeration team of Mark Briscoe, Willow Nightingale & Hologram defeated MxM Collection and Taya Valkyrie. Briscoe pinned Mansoor after a Froggy Bow from the top rope.

Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey defeated The Gates of Agony. Knight hit a top-rope splash to pin Bishop Kaun.

LADIES NIGHT

The main event was an “All-Star eight-woman tag team match.”

Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Athena & “The Toxic Spider” Thekla defeated Anna Jay, Tay Melo, Thunder Rosa & Queen Aminata.

Athena has been the Ring Of Honor women’s champion for 900 days. Red Velvet threw the belt to Athena, who knocked out Thunder Rosa for the victory.
