NFL Offseason Wish Lists: NFC West
The 2024 NFL Season is over, and the 2025 Offseason is in full swing! It’s an exciting time for fans and franchises alike as new hope dawns with the records reset for all 32 squads. With that in mind, I want to do a series looking at all 32 teams “Offseason Wish Lists” with a special look at how each team will attack the new league year and how they will use the various methods of adding talent to best prepare their rosters for 2025.
We’ll break it down by division over the coming days. We’ve already looked at the East, South, and North Divisions in both Conferences. Up next, the churning rosters of the NFC West:

LOS ANGELES RAMS
2024 Result: 10-7 Reg. Season, Lost in NFC Divisional Round
Biggest Needs: OL, CB, WR
1st Round Draft Slot: 26th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $30.4M
A winning offseason for the Rams is already underway after the team was able to bring back QB Matt Stafford, and now after the addition of WR Davanta Adams, the offense is beginning to load up for another deep Postseason run in 2025. They would love to add some impact offensive linemen in both Free Agency and the Draft to shore up an improving but not perfect group. Finally, bringing in a big-name CB in Free Agency should be a priority to improve a secondary that finished in the bottom half of the league in yards allowed in 2024.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
2024 Result: 10-7 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: QB, WR, OL
1st Round Draft Slot: 18th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $64.1M
The Seahawks made waves right away even before the legal tampering period of Free Agency hit on Monday, trading away QB Geno Smith to the Raiders followed by shipping off WR DK Metcalf to the Steelers. Then, in answer to their biggest need, they won the Sam Darnold sweepstakes in an effort to begin reshaping their offense to compete in 2025. They still need to add at Receiver now to play alongside rising star Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and then the focus needs to be on improving one of the league’s most porous O-Lines from last season. If they can use their additional draft capital to hit these areas hard, they could jumpstart the offensive identity switch in one offseason!
ARIZONA CARDINALS
2024 Result: 8-9 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: Edge, DT, OL
1st Round Draft Slot: 16th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $66.1M
This is a fun squad heading into Free Agency with a solid young nucleus on offense and plenty of cap space and draft picks to make a dent in their roster deficiencies. They already made a splash in Free Agency by signing former Eagles star edge rusher Josh Sweat to address their biggest weakness on the edge, and they should continue to add up front on Defense to make that unit competitive in 2025. The interior OL needs some improvement as well. The Cards should be fun to track over the coming weeks.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
2024 Result: 6-11 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: Edge, CB, DT
1st Round Draft Slot: 11th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $24.7M
San Fran has been losing 2024 contributors to Trade and Free Agency much faster than they’ve been adding them so far this offseason, but they have to free up space to sign Brock Purdy long-term, and they need to get younger at key positions. Getting Nick Bosa a dynamic partner off the Edge and adding muscle along the interior DL is the top priority, but they can’t ignore the secondary either. Adding playmakers at Corner and Safety are needs, as is replacing Deebo Samuel’s (and potentially Brandon Aiyuk’s) production at WR. I’m concerned SF won’t be able to fix all their issues in one offseason, but this organization knows how to build a contender. We’ll track SF with great interest.
