CM Punk Wins World Title But Loses It Immediately to Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins executed his four-step plan to win the World title last night at SummerSlam in New Jersey.

Step 1 came at WrestleMania, when he beat Roman Reigns and CM Punk by aligning with their former mentor, Paul Heyman.

Step 2 was winning the ladder match for the World title shot at Money in the Bank.

Step 3 took place at Saturday Night’s Main Event, when he faked a knee injury during a match with LA Knight.

Step 4 involved revealing the fake injury last night and cashing in the briefcase to defeat CM Punk for the World title.

Punk was exhausted after a 30-minute battle with Gunther. Punk hit the “Go To Sleep” twice on Gunther to win the World title.

Punk’s reign lasted less than six minutes, and now he has to chase the champion again.

THANKS, CHIEF

When Roman Reigns was WWE champion, the Bloodline members often came to his aid. Last night, Reigns paid one of them back.

Reigns teamed with Jey Uso in the opening match against Rollins’ henchmen, Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed.

Breakker tried to hit the spear (football tackle) on Uso, but Reigns took the bullet for him.

That allowed Uso to give Reed a splash from the top rope for the victory.

TIFFY TIME CONTINUES

Tiffany Statton defeated Jade Cargill with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain the WWE women’s title.

That’s impressive, considering Cargill beat Naomi twice this year and also defeated Asuka to become Queen of the Ring.

Sami Zayn beat Karrion Kross with the Heluva Kick.

PLEASE PASS THE JELLY

Jelly Roll looked impressive in the ring, but he and Randy Orton couldn’t overcome Logan Paul & Drew McIntryre.

Paul splashed Jelly off the top rope twice: once through a table and once in the ring to win the match.

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss may not be friends, but they are champions. They beat Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE women’s tag team titles.
