TIGER ATTACK

Determined to turn the tables, the Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning against Luis Ortiz.

Colt Keith hit an RBI double, and Matt Vierling added a two-run single.

Cleveland got two runs back in the third inning. Bo Naylor hit his seventh homer of the year, and Jose Ramirez singled to score Jhonkensy Noel.

Detroit’s 3-2 lead lasted until the eighth inning. Angel Martinez grounded to first, but Ramirez hustled home and avoided the catcher’s tag to tie the game.

Kyle Manzardo put the Guardians on top with an RBI double in the 10th off Brenan Hanifee (2-2). Manzardo scored on a double by Angel Martinez.

Bo Naylor added a sacrifice fly to score Carlos Santana. Nolan Jones completed the rally with an RBI single.

Emmanuel Clase pitched the bottom of the 10th. He gave up a two-run double to Gleyber Torres, but he finished off the Tigers for the Guardians’ fourth win in a row.

Tim Herrin (4-1) earned the victory for pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
