Bueckers, Ogunbowale Lead Wings To 92-82 Win Over Defending Champion Liberty

ARLINGTON, TX – After a tough blowout loss to the Las Vegas Aces, the Dallas Wings couldn’t have been more glad to get back on the court 24 hours later.

However, on the second leg of a back-to-back, that doesn’t always show for teams.

Fortunately, the Dallas Wings were not one of those teams.

The Wings came out firing as they used a big first half to take down the reigning champion Liberty 92-82 in a huge win.

Arike Ogunbowale led the way for Dallas, dropping 20 points and dishing out a career high 14 assists with just 1 turnover.

Paige Bueckers was hitting early and often, scoring 20 points of her own in an incredibly efficient 7-12 shooting night.

Luisa Geiselsöder rattled home 14 scoring from all three levels, proving to be a legit third option to Ogunbowale and Bueckers.

Off the bench, DiJonai Carrington dropped home nine points and Li Yueru scored 8, providing a boost for the Wings as a second unit.

Dallas got out to a huge 31-19 lead after the opening frame. By the half, the Wings led by an astounding 63-36 clip.

Things got a little scary in the 4th quarter as New York cut the Wings lead all the way down to single digits, but Dallas held on when it mattered most.

The Wings continue their four-game home-stand on Wednesday night when they take on the Atlanta Dream at the College Park Center in Arlington.
