Becky Lynch: I’m the One Who Attacked Bayley
WWE fans had to wait months to discover that Naomi was the one who had attacked Jade Cargill.
Detective Becky Lynch solved the Bayley case last night on Raw.
“It was me! I did it!”
She explained that Bayley had been attacking her since 2019. Becky said she turned against Lyra Valkyria because “the friend of my enemy is my enemy.”
Lyra came out for a rebuttal, and they agreed to a match at Backlash on May 10 for the women’s Intercontinental title held by Valkyria.
TITLE SHOT or FIGHT BRON?
Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman presented Sami Zayn with a dilemma that lasted throughout the show. Either Zayn could accept a trade to Smackdown or he would wrestle Bron Breakker.
To sweeten the pot, Heyman arranged that if Zayn accepted the trade, he would face the winner of the upcoming WWE title match between John Cena and Randy Orton.
Zayn didn’t accept it, and he paid the price. During the main event, Breakker speared Zayn four times. The referee stopped the match.
ATTACK OF THE NXT WOMEN
The next wave of women’s wrestling is coming up fast from NXT.
Roxanne Perez battled Rhea Ripley in the opener. Giulia attacked Ripley to cause a disqualification. World women’s champion Iyo Sky came out to help Ripley.
Later in the show, NXT women’s champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated Ivy Nile.
IS THIS A GOOD IDEA?
Announcer Pat McAfee challenged Gunther to a match. Gunther is still suspended after attacking McAfee and Michael Cole last week.
McAfee was a football player for the Indianapolis Colts, but punters aren’t accustomed to a lot of physical contact.
The War Raiders won a non-title match against The Judgment Day when Penta attacked JD McDonagh. That was payback for last week, and they will wrestle next week on Raw.
Also on next week’s show, Rusev will return to the WWE ring to battle Otis from Alpha Academy.
