Ballpark Bets: Performance Doubles Thursday

Paul Skenes 6+ Strikeouts and Pirates Win (-130)

Aside from his performance against the Rockies, Skenes has allowed just 6 ER in his last 32 innings of work and four of those were scoreless outings. He’s been dialed in. Getting six strikeouts against a Reds team that’s prone to the swing and miss seems doable. The Reds are a good team, but I can see Skenes slamming the door shut and the team rallying around him.

Eury Perez 5+ Strikeouts and Marlins Win (+124)

Eury Perez has been stellar for the Marlins. He has allowed just four earned runs in his last 34 innings of work and has averaged 5+ strikeouts in his last six starts. The Marlins have been playing a good brand of baseball. The Braves will have Carlos Carrasco on the mound, which I like the pitching matchup in favor of the Marlins.

Logan Gilbert 7+ Strikeouts and Mariners Win (-140)

Gilbert is a strikeout machine and each pitcher this series has had their way in the strikeout category this week. It sounds like a good recipe for success for Gilbert overall. The Mariners have been winning lately and that trend continues against the White Sox to cap off this series.
