Ballpark Bets: Easy Wins and Return of an MVP

Skenes 6+ -175

It’s Paul Skenes Day! When it comes to the strikeouts, this is the sweet spot for Skenes. Six total is very doable for Skenes and he has been quite dominant his last two outings.

He’s had one outing against the Brewers in his career and struck out 11 batters and allowed zero earned runs. This one was also quite historic too.

Braves ML -180

The Padres are playing a bad brand of baseball right now. They are 8-10 in the month of May and have been out scored 24-6 in their last three games. Vibes couldn’t be lower.

The Braves are getting a resurgence and will see Ronald Acuna Jr. be back into the fold. Nick Pivetta has pitched well on the road, but he has a daunting task against Chris Sale, who’s coming off a dominant outing and looks like his CY Young self.

Padres playing bad baseball and Braves at home smells like a Braves win.

Phillies ML -192

The Phillies have a super digestible matchup on tap. They walked through Colorado with ease and are taking on an A’s team who’s lost nine in a row and playing a bad brand of Baseball. Zack Wheeler on the mound, yeah that’s enough for me.
