Striking them Out!
Tarik Skubal 6+, Garrett Crochet, Hunter Brown, Bryan Woo, Joe Ryan all 5+ (+124)
This is strikeout heaven. Tarik Skubal is among the best of the best in this regard, with the second most strikeouts and highest K%. The Rangers offense has been good, but Skubal hitting the mark is doable. Garrett Crochet has a tall task, as the Cubs offense is lethal. He has hit the mark in nine straight starts.
Hunter Brown is the more intriguing one. He had a rough end to the break, but getting five against the Mariners is doable. His opponent in Bryan Woo is coming off a phenomenal seven inning shutout outing and that feels doable for five strikeouts as well, especially given Castillo AND Evans were able to hit the mark. Joe Ryan is enjoying a career year and each Twins pitcher has hit the mark and he’s the best one they have.
Jarren Duran 2+ Total Bases (+130)
The Red Sox offense has to break out right? Only one run in 18 innings out of the break. Duran is the engine that if he goes, the rest of the team goes behind him. It luckily isn’t Matthew Boyd, so hopefully getting to Cade Horton is a doable feat.
Dinger of the Day!
Bryce Harper +350
It’s poetic. +350 and he is one shy for home run number 350 in his career. In front of the home crowd. Baseball is poetry.
