Ballpark Bets: A Day for the Underdogs

Senga 6+ / Mets -1.5 (+145)

The Mets have a good chance to win by two or more runs. Keller struggles to get batters to whiff and to strikeout and is walking batters 7.5% of the time. I think the Mets bats go to work and deliver at the plate. Crazy thing is they haven’t played their best baseball. Other reason they’ll win by two in my mind is because of Kodai Senga.

Senga has been phenomenal and that’s been mild about it. He has a 1.16 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. He has been quite good. Pair that with a not so great Pirates offense and this has the makings of a successful day for the Mets and this pick.

Twins ML (+110)

This is just really good value. The Twins are riding an eight game win streak and storm into Baltimore to take on the Orioles. The Orioles have been spotty at best and the Twins are playing a very good brand of baseball.

It’s a bold pick, but the Orioles have not given me confidence, despite Gunnar Henderson having a really nice resurgent month.

Jackson Merrill 2+ TB (+105)

Merrill Madness. Oh did the Padres miss him and his offensive production. He was out with an injury, but has been nothing but stellar since his return.

Since returning from injury, Merrill is 14-23 and has one home run, one triples, and two doubles. He is constantly getting hits and getting on base, so there is reason to believe he will hit this mark.
