AEW Fyter Fest: Kenny Omega to Battle Kazuchika Okada in Double Title Match

AEW fans have been waiting for Kenny Omega to wrestle Kazuchika Okada ever since Okada joined the company 15 months ago.

They will get their wish at the All In Texas pay-per-view on June 12.

This will be a double championship match, with Okada’s Continental title and Omega’s International belt on the line.

Okada and Omega had an amazing series of matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2017-18. Omega leads the series 2-1, with one draw.

AEW World champion Jon Moxley kicked off the “Dynamite” portion of Fyter Fest in Denver by defeating Mark Briscoe in the opening bout with the Bulldog Choke.

Moxley also became the first AEW wrestler to kick out of the Jay Driller, which was popularized by the late Jay Briscoe.

Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa defeated Julia Hart & Skye Blue while Mercedes Mone enjoyed a steak dinner at ringside.

After the match, Storm took a bite of Mone’s steak. They will battle for Storm’s AEW women’s title at All in Texas.

Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight & Komander defeated La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos).

Max Caster issued another “Best Wrestler Alive” open challenge. Powerhouse Hobbs won in less than 60 seconds.

Omega retained his International championship in a four-way match against Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli and Mascara Dorada.

Will Ospreay defeated Lio Rush in an aerial battle with the Styles Clash to begin the “Collision” portion of the event.

FTR proved their Lucha Libre skills by defeating Atlantis Jr. & Templario. Dynamite will air live from Arena Mexico on June 18.

Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero defeated Bandido & The Outrunners.

After beating up Harley Cameron last week, Megan Bayne threatened to throw Anna Jay off the stage. Tay Melo returned from a two-year layoff to make the save.

Nick Wayne retained the Ring Of Honor TV title with a win over AR Fox, Sammy Guevara and Lee Johnson.

“The Toxic Spider” Thekla made her AEW debut with a win over Lady Frost. Thekla will battle Queen Aminata next week.

In the main event, Daniel Garcia and Paragon (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) beat The Don Callis Family team of Lance Archer, Josh Alexander, Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero.

Next week, it’s another four-hour show! Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland will headline Summer Blockbuster from Portland, Oregon.
