AEW Collision: Zach Gowen Returns to National TV After Two Decades

Zach Gowen, the one-legged wrestler who feuded with Vince McMahon 22 years ago, is stepping back into the ring.

Last night, AEW presented a special episode of Collision from Detroit. Gowen has been competing on the Detroit independent scene for the past two decades.

After winning the opening match against Angelico, Ricochet pointed out Gowen in the crowd and taunted him.

Ricochet dragged a security guard into the ring, and Gowen came to the rescue. Ricochet pulled off Gowen’s prosthetic leg and mocked him. Watch the action here.

Gowen will wrestle Ricochet next Wednesday on the Beach Break Dynamite from Chicago.

ARE YOU MY FRIEND?

Kris Statlander has been trying to regain Willow Nightingale’s friendship after turning against her to join Stokely Hathaway.

They decided to settle their differences in the ring, but The Death Riders interfered.

Wheeler Yuta distracted the referee, allowing Marina Shafir to choke Willow with a chain.

Statlander didn’t notice Shafir’s interference and pinned Willow after the Night Fever piledriver.

ALL IN THE FAMILY

The Don Callis Family had a great night. Kyle Fletcher, Rocky Romero, Trent Beretta & Lance Archer defeated The Outrunners, AR Fox & Bandido.

Family members Josh Alexander & Konosuke Takeshita beat The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & Evil Uno).

OTHER ACTION

Anthony Bowens defeated Lee Johnson after the Molly-Whop (discus forearm).

Speedball Mike Bailey won a high-flying battle with Dralistico after a Tornado Kick.

Daniel Garcia vs. Dax Harwood ended in a no-contest after a wild brawl that drew Nigel McGuinness from the commentary desk into the ring.

Next week’s Beach Break shows in Chicago will include the return of hometown girl Skye Blue, as well as Ric Flair appearing for a tribute to Steve “Mongo” McMichael.
