Edge And Christian Reunite on AEW Dynamite

While The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz prepare for a final battle this fall, Edge & Christian reunited last night on AEW Dynamite in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Adam “Edge” Copeland destroyed FTR’s manager Stokley Hathaway. FTR couldn’t help because they had taken out a restraining order against Copeland.

Finally, they broke the order and helped their manager. The match was thrown out. Christian came to save Copeland, only to be attacked by his former Patriarchy teammates, Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne.

Christian and Copeland won the fight and hugged in the ring as the crowd cheered. They will team up for the first time in 14 years to face Sabian & Wayne at Forbidden Door on Aug. 24 in London.

HOMETOWN ANTI-HERO

Cincinnati’s own Jon Moxley won the opening match over Kevin Knight with the Bulldog Choke.

The post-match brawl saw Darby Allin and Will Ospreay help Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey in their battle with Moxley and The Death Riders.

Ospreay issued a challenge for a lights out steel cage match at Forbidden Door in London on Aug. 24.

The Death Riders will team with The Young Bucks to face Ospreay, Allin, Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, and Hiroshi Tanahashi, who is on a John Cena-like retirement tour in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

MJF CHALLENGES HANGMAN

MJF will usually win a war of words, but it didn’t happen last night.

He tried to make “Hangman” Adam Page angry, but the AEW World champion kept his cool and refused to give MJF a title shot without cashing in the contract that he won at All In Texas.

MJF finally relented, so the match is scheduled for Forbidden Door.

WOMEN’S ACTION

Willow Nightingale, Alex Windsor & Queen Aminata defeated Skye Blue, Thekla & Mercedes Mone.

Next week on Dynamite in Scotland, Windsor will team with “Timeless” Toni Storm to battle Mone and Athena.

TNT TITLE CHALLENGE

Hiromu Takahashi revealed himself as Kyle Fletcher’s challenger for the TNT title at Forbidden Door.

Takahashi, one of New Japan’s top junior heavyweights, teamed with Hologram, Tomohiro Ishii & Brody King to defeat Fletcher, Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks.

In the main event, The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) retained the AEW trios title with a win over La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos).
