Cleveland Browns 53-Man Roster Prediction Post Preseason Game 1

NFL rosters are always fluid during preseason, but sometimes certain players can help their case after one game. Here’s my latest 53-man roster prediction barring injuries.

Quarterback (3). Joe Flacco, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabiel. I can’t see Kenny Pickett making the roster.

Running Back (3). Jerome Ford, Dylan Sampson, Ahmani Marshall. Marshall played well against the Panthers. This group all hinges on the outcome of Quinshon Judkins legal troubles.

Tight End (3). David Njoku, Harold Fannin, Brendan Bates. It was odd Blake Whiteheart received no offensive snaps against the Panthers. Bates played very well.

Wide Receiver (6). Jerry Jeudy, Diontae Johnson, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, DeAndre Carter, Kaden Davis. This group screams free agent acquisition, but Davis played well Friday night as did Gage Larvadain. I’ve heard Carter isn’t a lock to make the roster.

Offensive Tackle (4). Jack Conklin, Cornelius Lucus, Dawand Jones, Free Agent. I had high hopes for Barton Jackson, but he really disappointed. The Browns have to find their fourth tackle on cutdown day.

Offensive Guard (4). Joel Bitonio, Wyatt Teller, Teven Jenkins, Zak Zinter. This group bears watching because of depth. Both Zinter and Jenkins are having average training camps. I found it interesting Javion Cohen started against the Panthers.

Center (2). Ethan Pocic, Luke Wypler. Set and set.

Defensive Tackle (4). Maliek Collins, Michael Hall, Mason Graham, Jovon Briggs. It all depends on the health of Hall. If he’s hurt at the start of the season, the Browns will keep Shelby Harris.

Defensive End (6). Myles Garrett, Isaiah McGuire, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, Alex Wright, Cameron Thomas, Adin Huntington. Thomas and Huntington played extremely well Friday night. Both Huntington and Wright can play both tackle and end.

Linebacker (5). Carson Schwesinger, Mohamoud Diabate, Jerome Baker, Winston Reid, Devin Bush. If Bush is suspended because of his legal troubles, that will open the door for Nathaniel Watson.

Cornerback (5). Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, Cameron Mitchell, Tony Brown, Myles Harden. Cameron Mitchell is struggling to cover the slot. Chigozie Anusiem, Nik Needham and Dom Jones could push him off the roster.

Safety (5). Grant Delpit, Rayshawn Jenkins, Ronnie Hickman, Chris Edmonds, Donovan McMillon. This group looks good.

Long Snapper (1). Rex Sunahara. Set.

Punter (1). Cory Bojorquez. Set.

Kicker (1). Dustin Hopkins. If Hopkins keeps missing extra points, the Browns will find a veteran replacement.
