In a new Rooftop Mingle interview, friend of the show Kyle Karros makes his return! Last time we spoke, he was starting to turn heads with the High-A Spokane Indians. Since that last conversation, he went on to win the Northwest League championship with the Indians, earned MVP honors, as well as a Gold Glove at third base. Recently promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque, Karros is knocking on the door of the big leagues.

We talk about the whirlwind of the last season, his time in Double-A, and about the quest to win ball games and bring a winning culture to the Colorado Rockies. He touches on plate approach, the joy of playing with his other teammates, and the pride he takes on defense. He also lines out his dream infield lineup, as well as who he’d like to be stranded in the desert with.

All eyes will be on Karros as the Rockies reconfigure the big league roster but for now he will have to settle in at the challenge of Triple-A, a task he seems more than capable of accomplishing.
