Top 10 QBs in ACC for 2025 College Football Season

The 2025 College Football season is two months away and teams are beginning to come together.

The most important position on the field continues to be the quarterback. The ACC will return some of the top weapons in the nation while welcoming in new signal callers.

Below, check out the Top 10 quarterbacks in the ACC heading into the 2025 season.

10. Syracuse Duo

Syracuse will have a decision to make under center this season. Fran Brown went out and laded Steve Angeli as a transfer while LSU transfer Rickie Collins also committed to the Orange. At this point, it is unknown who the starter will be but both would be first-time options.

9. Eli Holstein, Pitt

It was a tale of two seasons for Pitt and Holstein last season. The team started hot as Holstein was responsible for three touchdowns in five straight games to begin the year. The Panthers slowed down and so did Holstein. This year, he will look to put together a full season under center.

8. Kyron Drones, Virginia Tech

Drones did not live up to expectations last season. He took steps back from the 2023 season but is back one again as the starting quarterback. In 2023, he threw 17 touchdowns and just three interceptions while going over 800 yards on the ground. The Hokies are hoping this is the player that will return this season.

7. CJ Bailey, N.C. State

Bailey was extremely impressive as a true freshman last year. He took over for Grayson McCall midseason and provided a spark right away. The question is, how will the team be around Bailey? KC Concepcion is gone and new weapons will have to step up on the outside.

6. Darian Mensah, Duke

Mensah was a big-splash, high-priced transfer for Duke this offseason. Out of Tulane, he was one of the highest-paid transfers in the nation. As a freshman, Mensah totaled 2,723 passing yards with 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

5. Miller Moss, Louisville

Moss has bounced around and is now at Louisville with Jeff Brohm. He has been coached by Lincoln Riley and now has another strong offensive mind leading the way. Moss was benched late last season but is expected to return to his starting role to begin 2025.

4. Haynes King, Georgia Tech

King has played plenty of football for Georgia Tech during his career. The sixth-year quarterback lost some weapons in the portal that helped him become one of the most efficient passers in the ACC. Georgia Tech might not be contenders as a whole but King is an experienced passer that can use his legs as well, leading to double-digit rushing touchdowns in each of the last two years.

3. Kevin Jennings, SMU

SMU made a run to the College Football Playoff last year. Jennings was dynamic in his first year as the starter and should only improve from here. He threw for at least 225 yards in each of his final eight games. SMU is an explosive offense and Jennings is the perfect player to lead the way.

2. Carson Beck, Miami

Beck was one of the biggest transfer this offseason but will enter Miami with plenty of criticism. Once viewed as a potential No. 1 pick, Beck struggled during his time at Georgia, especially to end last season. At full strength, Beck is looking to return to form and lead a Miami offense that was explosive with Cam Ward.

1. Cade Klubnik, Clemson

Klubnik is the clear-cut top quarterback in the ACC and potentially the nation. Clemson has high hopes for the upcoming season with a Heisman candidate leading the way. He threw 36 touchdowns last season and has plenty of experience with the Tigers. Klubnik might be the top quarterback in college football when it is all said and done.
