Wyndham Clark Reportedly DESTROYED Oakmont Locker Room
The US Open at Oakmont. This had to be one of the most chaotic events that I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, was having trouble with the difficult terrain that the country club brought them. No one was safe, with the winner (JJ Spaun) being the ONLY PERSON to post a score under par (-1).
It was a wild display of man vs. nature, with nature evidently winning the battle. But besides all of that…….the events on the course weren’t the only “battles” that were taking place in PA this past weekend. According to multiple reports, it looks like one of the golfers in the field got into a bit of a scuffle……with some lockers?
π¨π₯Ύπͺ #NEW: Wyndham Clark allegedly damaged several lockers in the change room at Oakmont Country Club following a missed cut, per @TronCarterNLU. Additionally, Clark recently destroyed a T-mobile sign at the PGA Championship not long ago.

That’s right, sports fans; Wyndham Clark was reportedly a bit “upset” (for lack of a better term) with his performance. The 2023 U.S. Open champion struggled throughout his first 36 holes, posting a +8 heading into the weekend. The problem with that? The cut ended up being set at +7, causing Wyndham to miss the rest of the tournament because of one measly stroke.
It was a tough break for the American golfer, who has finished tied for 50th or WORST in each of his last four tournaments. The worst part is that this atrocious behavior comes just one month after his controversial actions at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow;

He has just been in another head space lately. But you know what? I get it; golf is a tough sport. I’m sure that every golfer across the world has thought about hurling their clubs across the course at some point in their lifetime. But for someone of Wyndham’s ilk, who gets paid very good money to play a game for a living, to destroy private property in anger? That just seems rather childish, if you catch my drift?
I mean, I get it; Wyndham probably has enough money to pay for both the sign he broke, and the lockers he caved in. Not only that; Oakmont has been making money hand over fist throughout the years, to the point where they themselves could fix the lockers AND buy twelve replacements without even breaking a sweat. But that’s not the point. It’s still not a good look for himself, and for the PGA as a whole.
If anything, actions like these need bigger consequences. They need suspensions, and fines, that are made public for the world to see. Football players have them. Basketball players have them. Why not golfers? What makes them so different, compared to the rest of the leagues out there?
Sure; Oakmont is tough. Every single golfer in the field was having trouble with it. But if Wyndham Clark truly did this……he needs to figure out how to calm down. Maybe do some yoga? Tai-chi? Or whatever else these rich people do to stay calm? Because no one wants to see his tantrums. It’s just low-class.
But in the end, as always…..what do I know? I’m just a guy from the Midwest, with a beer and a laptop, trying to make sense of this world.
