WWE Smackdown: Seth Rollins Clears the Field for Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins and his crew prepared to win tonight’s Money in the Bank match with their actions last night on Smackdown in Bakersfield, Calif.

Paul Heyman brought Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed to the ring to start the show, and Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 3.0 came out for a non-physical conversation.

Rollins and Sikoa will compete in the ladder match for the Money in the Bank briefcase that guarantees an instant World title shot.

Their opponents will be Andrade, LA Knight, Penta, and El Grande Americano.

Rollins and his crew attacked Knight later in the show, causing Knight to beat Aleister Black by disqualification.

The heels showed up one more time after Penta & Andrade beat Brutus & Julius Creed. Breakker speared Andrade, and Reed squashed Penta with a Tsunami splash.

WOMEN’S ACTION

Zelina Vega defeated Piper Niven in a Bakersfield Brawl after slamming her through a table.

Alba Fyre and Chelsea Green attacked Vega, with Giulia making the save. But then Giulia clobbered Vega as well! It’s not easy being the women’s U.S. champion.

The female Money in the Bank competitors had a six-woman match. Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss & Stephanie Vaquer beat Roxanne Perez, Giulia & Naomi.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will start next week and conclude at Night of Champions in three weeks. The winners will get title shots at SummerSlam.

The Smackdown tag teams decided to band together against the Wyatt Sicks faction, which has been attacking all of them.

The show ended with a preview of tonight’s main event, pitting Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso against John Cena & Logan Paul.

Cena said he would take the WWE title home, while Paul would eventually win the World title. The bad guys also won a brawl with Uso & Rhodes.
