WWE Raw: Two Devils on Two Shoulders

Before last night’s main event on WWE Raw, Gunther told Jey Uso that being a good friend would be the downfall of Uso’s reign as World champion.

Sure enough, Uso tried to help CM Punk and Sami Zayn in a show-closing brawl and ended up getting squashed by a pair of Tsunami splashes by Bronson Reed.

Uso isn’t finished being a good friend, as he will team with Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank on Saturday night against John Cena & Logan Paul.

By the time next Monday rolls around, Gunther believes that he will defeat Uso and regain the World title.

Another “devil’s advocate” scenario played out where Karrion Kross tried to convince Sami Zayn to be more selfish, too. His words were even clearer than Gunther’s.

“You’re not a good guy; you’re a bad guy like the rest of us!”

DOUBLE YOUR MONEY

Stephanie Vaquer won the final spot in the women’s Money in the Bank match on Saturday in Los Angeles. She beat Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat match.

Vaquer will battle for the briefcase against Rhea Ripley, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez.

Also on Saturday, Vaquer will compete on the WWE-AAA Worlds Collide show, teaming with Lola Vice against Dalys & Chik Tormenta.

El Grande Americano upset CM Punk and 48-year-old birthday boy AJ Styles to grab the final spot in the men’s ladder match.

Americano’s opponents will be Seth Rollins, Solo Sikoa, Penta, Andrade, and LA Knight.

If you believe Americano is Chad Gable, then he will also be wrestling his second match on Saturday. Gable will challenge El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega title at Worlds Collide.

OTHER BOUTS

Jey Uso & Sami Zayn defeated Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed when Seth Rollins interfered.

Roxanne Perez continued to endear herself to The Judgment Day. She helped Finn Balor & JD McDonagh defeat The War Raiders.

Kairi Sane pinned Raquel Rodriguez after an Insane Elbow. Now that Sane has beaten Liv Morgan and Rodriguez, she could team with Iyo Sky to go after the WWE women’s tag team title.

(Fun fact: I announced a singles match between Punk and Styles 21 years ago for the International Wrestling Cartel in Pittsburgh. Check it out!)
