Can I Bet On The U.S. To Win Gold In Flag Football RIGHT NOW?
As a founding member of the hit online gambling show ‘Just The BetSlips,’ I think it’s safe to say that I’ve made a bet or two in my day. I’ve dabbled in the spreads and the moneylines of the various sporting events that this world has to offer, with the hopes of (responsibly) chasing that almighty bag.
It’s a bit of a (responsible) passion of mine, which leads me to an EXTREMELY important question……how do I bet on THIS?!?

Flag Football, for those of you who are unaware, is one of the newest sports to be added to the Olympic games. In October of 2023, the international Olympic Committee approved the sport for the upcoming games in Los Angeles, as a way to “showcase an aspirational new pathway to elite play and the incredible development of the sport globally.” It will be yet another adaptation and “modernization attempt” for the Olympic games, that have been around for almost 3,000 years.
And now, with the NFL’s resounding 32-0 vote yesterday, it looks like NFL players will be allowed to participate in this monumental event. It looks like Team USA is going to be STACKED with all kinds of talent, when the team descends on Los Angeles in three years time.
It will be a sight to behold, with guys like Patrick Mahomes and Justin Jefferson possibly leading the team. But the question is…..what would be the best bet for it? If we are allowed to wager on Flag Football in 2028……..which route should we take, as gamblers?
Me personally; if you’re touching ANY spreads or moneylines that involve Team USA……you’re going to need to get in EARLY to place your bets. You’re going to need to (responsibly) hit those lines as soon as they come out, before the public starts to get their hands on them. These lines will be moving at a RAPID PACE, so it’s going to be hard to get them at a great value.
If anything, Team USA is going to turn every game they play into a track meet. If guys like Tyreek Hill are in the mix, then opposing defenders are NOT going to keep up with them. I am predicting these to be one-sided affairs from whistle to whistle, all of the way to the medal ceremonies.
Can the United States lose a game? Absolutely! Anything is possible! But to not call them the “odds-on-favorites” to win it all would be crazy!
The Olympics should be a fun time in a couple years, and I can’t wait for them to come. In the end though, as always…..what do I know? I’m just a guy from the Midwest, with a beer and a laptop, trying to make sense of this world.
