5 Biggest Steals from 2025 NFL Draft
The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books and we have had some time to digest the action across the three-day event.
There were many players that fell further down the draft board than expected. This led to steals in later rounds where teams got better right away.
Below, check out the five biggest steals from the NFL Draft.
5. Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns
The NFL Draft turned into a sideshow with the Shedeur Sanders drama. Regardless of his fall, the Cleveland Browns might have gotten a steal under center. In typical Browns’ fashion, they still found a way to make fans scratch their heads. The Browns selected Dillon Gabriel in the third round before taking Sanders two rounds later. Why take two quarterbacks? Who knows but Sanders will be given a chance in camp to impress.
4. Jihaad Campbell, Philadelphia Eagles
Campbell is the lone steal featured from the first round and — to no one’s surprise — ended up with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Super Bowl champs brought back Zack Baun on a new contract and now have arguably the top linebacker in the draft next to him.
3. Will Johnson, Arizona Cardinals
Each year, injuries are the cause of many players falling down the draft boards. This year, it was Michigan CB Will Johnson but this led to a major get for the Arizona Cardinals. He was a Top 15 overall player in the draft but a knee injury from two years ago scared some teams on draft night. Johnson is a legitimate No. 1 corner with high potential coming into the league.
2. Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears
Burden was taken early in the second round but is still a steal for the Chicago Bears. There was little doubt that Burden would be taken in the first round. It was a shock when he did not hear his name called and he followed it up with a workout on Thursday night after the final pick. Burden did not wait long on Friday and he is heading to an upstart offense led by Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams.
1. Mike Green, Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens continue to do things the right way. This is a franchise that seems to make the right decision each time and did it again with Marshall’s Mike Green. The edge rusher came in at one of the best in the draft but his off-the-field issues forced a slide down the draft. With the 59th overall pick, the Ravens got a steal in what could be a Pro Bowl edge rusher.
