Cavs Dominate Pacers in Game 3, 126-104
On Friday May 9th, 2025, at 7:30 pm eastern time, the Eastern Conference Number One Seed Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Indianapolis Indiana to play the 4th Seed Indiana Pacers in game three of their Eastern Conference Semi Finals Series, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Cavaliers are facing a 2 -0 deficit to the Pacers. In game two the Cavaliers lost a heartbreaker at home 120-119 last Tuesday. For the Cavaliers Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter were listed as questionable. All three of them played in this game. Out for the Pacers was Isaiah Jackson. The Cavaliers were trying to regroup and get a tough playoff road win or face being down 3-0.
In the first quarter the Cavaliers took the lead with an 11-2 run. But Indiana fought back and at the end of the first quarter the Cavaliers and Pacers were tied 32-32. In the second quarter the Cavaliers pulled ahead of the Pacers. And at halftime the Cavaliers led the Pacers 66-45. In the third quarter the Cavaliers maintained their lead and led after three quarters of play 97-79. In fourth and final quarter the Pacers made an early run to cut into the Cavaliers lead. But the Cavaliers stormed back to add to their lead and the Cavaliers went on to win game three of this series 126-104. The Pacers still lead the series 2-1 over the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Donovan Mitchell with 43 points in 37 minutes. Both Jarett Allen and Evan Mobley had double-doubles in this game. Allen had 19 points and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes of play. Mobley had 18 points and 13 rebounds in 35 minutes of play. The Cavaliers had a must win situation for the first time this post season. It was a test that they passed with flying colors. Game four of this series is on Sunday May 11th, 2025, 8 pm eastern time, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. With this Cavaliers team getting healthy at the right time, they can tie the series 2-2. And that would give Cleveland Cavaliers fans a Happy Mother’s Day.
