Rangers Bat Still Silent In 2-1 Loss To Seattle
Today, like every day, the Texas Rangers showed up to Globe Life Field hoping that today would be the day they finally break out of their offensive slumps.
However, like many days recently, that was not the case.
Texas managed just five hits and one run as they fell in a tight one-run contest to the Seattle Mariners.
After the game, Rangers manager Bruce Bochy called their current offensive struggles “one of the toughest stretches he’s seen”.
Tonight saw a difference in the quality and fight of at-bats as Texas hit several balls hard but to no avail.
Patrick Corbin got the start for Texas and allowed a home run on the first pitch of the game to Seattle lead-off hitter JP Crawford.
However, after that, Corbin was locked in, throwing 5.2 innings with that shot being the only run he allowed.
In the 4th inning, Jonah Heim ripped a two-out RBI single to score Corey Seager and tie the game for the Rangers lone run.
With the game tied in the 9th, Rowdy Tellez came off the bench and ripped an RBI single off Chris Martin to break the tie and give Seattle the win.
