3 Landing Spots for Jaire Alexander Following Release

The Green Bay Packers will make the release of Jaire Alexander official.

At 28 years old, the All-Pro cornerback will be looking for a new home. There are many teams that could be interested in adding one of the best corners in the league. There were rumors this offseason that the Packers were looking to move Alexander. A deal did not come to fruition and he will officially be released.

Once the move is made, it will be interesting to see where Alexander lands. Below, check out three teams that could be interested in signing Alexander.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have not been afraid to make the big move. After the outcome of the Super Bowl, the Chiefs could be looking for reassurances in the secondary. Trent McDuffie has emerged as an All-Pro but there are questions beyond him on the depth chart. Alexander and McDuffie would be an intriguing cornerback duo that could help the Chiefs navigate the AFC once again.

2. New England Patriots

It was busy offseason for the New England Patriots. It was headlined by the addition of Milton Williams along the defensive line while rebuilding the offensive line to protect Drake Maye. This includes the draft pick of Will Campbell while adding Morgan Moses as well. The tackles are new and Alexander could improve the secondary. Christian Gonzalez has dealt with injuries but is among the best young corners in the game. The addition of Alexander would build an elite duo in the AFC East.

1. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts were less-than-impressive defending the pass last season. Indianapolis features Kenny Moore, who works better in the slow, with Charvarius Ward on the outside. Indy also has other young corners that would be best suited in lesser roles for now. This is what would happen is Alexander was added into the mix. The duo of Juju Brents and Jaylon Jones would move down the depth chart and add immediate depth for the Colts. Indianapolis has been desperate for help defending the pass and the answer is right here.
