2025 NFL Preview: Baltimore Ravens Season Outlook, Schedule & Prediction

2025 BALTIMORE RAVENS SEASON PREVIEW

It was another successful regular season for the Ravens with 12 wins and Super Bowl expectations. Baltimore rebounded from an 0-2 start to win seven of the next eight games. They ended the season with four wins in a row before dominating the Steelers on Wild Card weekend. It was a disappointing loss to the Bills with a trip to the AFC Championship Game on the line.

OFFENSE

The Ravens’ offense is expected to be as dynamic as ever led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.

Last season, Jackson could have won his third award after throwing for 4,172 yards with 41 touchdowns to just four interceptions. He added 915 yards on the ground.

The offense took a step forward with Derrick Henry in the backfield. Henry earned a two-year extension to keep him in the dynamic ground game of the Ravens. Jackson and Henry make up the league’s best rushing attack and that will be the case once again.

Where the Ravens have struggled is finding a No. 1 receiver. Zay Flowers has been impressive early in his career but has not taken that step as a premiere wideout. Baltimore continued the tradition of bringing in aging stars by adding DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. With Mark Andrews at tight end, the pass catchers will need to step up.

The Ravens offense was a roller coaster last season. Tyler Linderbaum returns at center as the team’s best lineman. The other members of the interior have struggled. Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele will have to improve as all-around blockers this season.

Ronnie Stanley struggled with injuries last season and did not play to his normal, elite level. When healthy, Stanley is a strong tackle with Roger Rosengarten on the other side.

With Jackson and Henry leading the attack, the offense of the Ravens will be dynamic once again.

DEFENSE

The defense for the Ravens is looking to return to the form of 2023, when it was among the best in the league.

The secondary needed a boost and that was a major focus this offseason. The Ravens added Malaki Starks in the first round of the draft this year. Baltimore also made a splash by signing Jaire Alexander once he was cut from the Green Bay Packers. Alexander and newly-acquired Chidobe Awuzie will improve the secondary right away.

The secondary also includes Kyle Hamilton, who has been used in many ways during his career. Hamilton has excelled at safety but by necessity, was moved to linebacker at times. If he moves back to the secondary, it will be an elite unit. Marlon Humphrey also returns at cornerback.

The linebackers will be among the strength once again. Roquan Smith is one of the best in the league while fourth-round rookie Teddye Buchanan has a chance to step into an extended role right away.

The Ravens got one of the steals in the draft by adding Mike Green in the second round. He dropped because of certain off-the-field issues but he is one of the top players selected. Green joins a pass rush that includes Kyle Van Not and Odafe Oweh — and that is without even mentioning Nnamdi Madubuike.

The massive interior lineman signed a lucrative extension to remain in Baltimore. He is an attacking lineman that is perfect for the scheme the Ravens like to run.
